2018 Scholarship Information
AP® Summer Institutes (APSIs) offer week-long professional development programs where you can network with peers and learn about tools and resources that inspire success in Advanced Placement® classrooms.
This year, the AP program is providing the following scholarships:
AP Redesign Scholarships - AP U.S. Government and Politics
AP Redesign Scholarships cover APSI tuition costs for teachers who will be teaching the redesigned AP U.S. Government and Politics in the 2018-19 academic year. [application]
AP Fellows Program
AP Fellows is an annual competitive grant program that provides AP Summer Institute scholarships for teachers at high schools serving minority or low-income students who have been traditionally underrepresented in AP courses. The $1,000 scholarships cover the cost of APSI tuition; any remaining funds may be applied to travel and expenses. [application]
AP Rural Fellows Program
AP Rural Fellows is an annual competitive grant program that provides AP Summer Institute scholarships for teachers serving in rural areas of the country. The $1,500 scholarships cover APSI tuition; any remaining funds may be applied to travel and expenses. [application]
AP Capstone Scholarships
These scholarships are awarded to AP Capstone teachers with no other sources of funding who are planning to attend the AP Capstone summer professional development event. The scholarships cover the cost of tuition only. Additional costs for travel, lodging, meals, and incidentals are not covered by the AP Capstone Scholarship. [application]
